The Search is OVER!

Hello Friend!

I hope life has been kind to you lately. As imperfect beings in an imperfect world, we all have flaws. I hope you're not like me, searching for your car keys even though you have them in your pocket. I know you've never done anything like that :-) but most people have, searching for something that is right in front of them. It is very possible to possess something we are completely oblivious that we have.

In the book of John chapter 4 in the bible, we meet the Samaritan woman at a well attempting to quench her natural thirst while continuing to struggle with her spiritual thirst. She meets Jesus without discerning that He is the spiritual well of Jacob, the source of the living water she desperately needs… In the beginning of their encounter, she only perceives Him as a Jew not discerning His true identity as the Messiah. As long as she only perceives Him as such, she will not be able to receive from Him what she needs to satisfy her spiritual thirst. Yes! It is possible to stand near a well, the solution to your problem, the provision to your need and live a life of frustration because you lack the spiritual discernment to recognize it as the solution to your problem. Intellectual/head knowledge is important but is not enough. Revealed knowledge is a necessity. Through His conversation with her, Jesus must now shift her intellectual/head knowledge of Him as a Jew into revelation knowledge that He is the Christ Himself.

How many of us, like the Samaritan woman or Hagar sitting by the well, are about to give up because we lack revelation, spiritual insight. The Bible says in Matthew 13:13-15, “They hear, but they do not hear nor understand.” On a long journey, Jacob stops to rest at a place. There, He has a dream and meets God. After his divine encounter, he wakes up and says, “Surely the LORD is in this place, and I knew it not.” The Bible says that after receiving the revelation of the place where he was as "the house of God", Jacob said to himself, “How fearful and awesome is this place! This is none other than the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven.” Gen. 28:16-17. The place where Jacob chose to rest was not solely a physical place but also spiritual place where God's presence dwelled. Without receiving the spiritual revelation of the place, he would have missed God's visitation. You may live in Dallas, New York, Ohio, Belgium, China, but do you know the spiritual relevance of where you are now to your destiny? Do you know why God placed you there and what He has made available for you there?

In my few years of faith, I have come to realize that God has already provided for my present and future needs. We often struggle and experience less of what God has for us because we lack spiritual discernment. Instead of praying for spiritual understanding and guidance concerning our situation, we weep, murmur, and panic. We have a lot of intellectual knowledge about spiritual matters, but we lack spiritual understanding and revelation.

Father, enlighten our spiritual man and open our spiritual eyes to discern and recognize the infinite resources you have placed within our reach to meet our needs and that of others. In Jesus’ name, amen!

When Jesus said, "It is finished!" He meant it! Christ's death has made provision for all our needs (Ephesians 1:3). The help, resources, people, money we need are available to us. However, we can only access these things through revelation which is spiritual insight and discernment or else you will throw away a diamond because it resembles a stone. You will discard people and things you need because you can't discern their true value.God unveils the things and people we need as our spirit man becomes enlightened by His Word and Spirit to possess them.

Dear friend, what you are looking for is not far from you, but within your reach. You just have to pray that God will reveal to you what He has already made available to you. It is closer to you than you think.

Repeat after me mis amigos, “The Search is OVER!” because in Christ, it really is.
